About Miss Stephanie (She/Her)
Stephanie Harvey grew up in Pittsburgh, PA dancing, tumbling, and performing musical theater. During high school, she fell in love with contemporary dance at The Dance Conservatory of Pittsburgh. She continued to study dance in college, earning her BFA from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts where she performed works by Martha Graham and Bill T Jones. After college, she trained with Paul Taylor Dance Company, Doug Varone, and Garth Fagan Dance in New York. She moved to the West Coast in 2012 and enjoyed an exciting performance career, dancing with Malashock Dance, San Diego Opera, Khamla Somphanh, Blythe Barton Dance, Michael Mizerany, and Garrett + Moulton Productions, among others. Her choreography has been presented at San Diego Fringe Festival, Spector Dance Choreographer's Showcase, Youth American Grand Prix, and at numerous competitions.
Stephanie has been teaching and choreographing for almost 15 years and it continues to bring her great joy and fulfillment to train dancers of all ages. In addition to dance, Stephanie has teaching certifications in Yoga, Pilates, and Acrobatic Arts which she infuses into her classes as well. In 2018, she relocated from the Bay Area to Ann Arbor where she lives with her husband and three young children.
